Across 26 sites spread throughout our region, over 575 volunteers removed:
9,095 pounds of litter (2500 pounds removed from the river itself)
46,710 pounds of green waste and 64,320 pounds of invasive weeds
Planted 7 trees and installed 171 plants
Spread115 yards of mulch in parks and other beautification projects
Stenciled 201 Storm Drains to prevent hazardous waste from being dumped into our river
Total pounds of waste removed from our Truckee Meadows equals 120,125 pounds! That’s over 60 tons!
