ADOPT-A-SPOT
The Adopt-A-Spot program started in 1994 to encourage investment in the health and beauty of our community. Businesses and community groups can adopt a park, an open space, or a spot along the Truckee River. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful partners with local municipalities to identify high-need spots in our region.
HOW IT WORKS
If there is a specific spot your group would like to adopt, let us know! If the spot has already been adopted, we will find an adoptable spot in an area that works for you.
Adopters must conduct a minimum of two clean-ups per year with an adoption length for at least a two-year period.
KTMB will provide all the tools (bags, gloves, shovels, etc.) and coordinate trash pickup.
To apply, please email Julia Zika, Community Cleanups and Service-Learning Program Manager at julia@ktmb.org.
